Scenes of a pregnant street dog suffering abuse while trying to find food until giving birth to all her puppies touched the most sensitive fiber of millions on social media.
Although most people enjoy the companionship of a pet and surely never even consider the possibility of getting rid of their dog or cat, in some cases, the coexistence between people and animals is not always successful.
There are many furry friends out there abandoned, rejected, sad, and without someone to love them. Such is the story of a dog named Lisa, who was found lying on the road, on the cold asphalt, a victim of human disgrace.
She was pregnant, and apparently, this didn’t matter to her alleged attacker, as she was severely injured.
When found by an angelic child, the poor dog didn’t even have enough strength to get up, making her rescue even more difficult.
Although the story of the pregnant and overwhelmed dog went viral, no one else approached to help her. When the angels from the animal protection organization Dublin Shelter finally became aware of the situation, it was already too late to save her little puppies. She lost them all, tragically and quietly, amidst her despair. And this is the story of many beings like Lisa, voiceless, experiencing the lack of love from the beings they once trusted, believed in, and loved with all their hearts, and then have to deal with these kinds of situations.
Little by little, but with great effort and steady steps, the group of volunteers approached the dog and managed to take her to safety to help her in her rehabilitation. However, this was not easy.
It took a long process for her to start getting better. Fortunately, Lisa was rescued and is in the process of recovery. Today, she shows unmistakable signs of significant improvement.
She eats well, is much calmer, and gradually moves forward.
Of course, after suffering such despicable cruelty, Lisa was scared, distrustful, always defensive. She even refused to hydrate, so the vital fluid was administered to her through a syringe.
Although the furry friend still has a long way to go to be in her ideal shape, she begins to show signs of being a carrier of an extraordinary personality. She even goes out for walks and exercises a bit, enjoying the love that was once denied to her.
Enough of a world so indifferent and merciless to animals, but when harm is done to a pregnant furry friend, what more can we expect from humanity? Fortunately, Lisa has all the love of her heroes willing to do anything until she fully recovers.
