A puppy is a helpless and vulnerable being, unable to speak or defend itself. Yet, life sometimes presents great challenges to its bravest warriors, who, despite their small size, demonstrate a courageous and unstoppable heart. Happy is a puppy who faced the ultimate test as a mere baby.
A beautiful bicolor puppy, a mix of border collie, never suspected that his life would take a dramatic turn after an incident with a horse. At just 5 weeks old and weighing only 2 kilograms, he was stepped on by a horse, resulting in a broken paw.
Immediately, the puppy received help. Thanks to the assistance of the From Heaven to Earth Rescue shelter in New Philadelphia, United States, he was transported to a veterinarian. However, there was no way to heal his injured paw, so the limb had to be amputated.
Thus, this fragile furry baby underwent major surgery. Rescuers feared that his small body might not withstand the procedure, but a miracle occurred: Happy’s operation was a complete success.
At first, Happy didn’t understand what had happened, but nothing could stop him. Two days after the surgery, he was able to integrate into the shelter and began moving around, trying to adapt to moving with only three limbs.
Of course, the situation was initially challenging for him. He propelled himself with small hops to gain confidence before venturing out to explore the world with his new condition. Then, his caregivers were certain: he could overcome this and lead a completely normal life.
Happy realized that limits don’t exist. His movements and steps became more agile with each passing day, turning him into a master of speed and acrobatics. He was as light as the wind and used this advantage to move wherever he pleased, unhindered.
Feeling secure in his ability to move, Happy began to explore his surroundings, especially during hot days to bask in the sun among the grass, trees, and plants of the shelter.
Gradually, the little furball developed unique games with his fellow companions. He is so adept that he considers himself an expert in wrestling and spends his days engaging in courageous strength contests.
He’s a champion wrestler. His rescuers couldn’t be happier with every advancement Happy made. Soon, he was ready for adoption. They thought finding him a home might be difficult, but his story went viral, capturing the hearts of thousands of people who wanted him by their side.
A couple of weeks ago, Happy turned 2 months old, and it was time to go home. He was adopted by a beautiful family in Michigan. Now, he has two dads, four human siblings, and two canine siblings whom he adores above all else.
Happy proves that anything is possible. He has seamlessly fit into his new home. He loves his family, especially his four-legged siblings, and he appreciates this second chance at life by giving them all his love and unconditional loyalty.
Be like this courageous puppy and never give up—nothing can stop you if you truly set your mind to it!
